Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Commercial Insurance. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued business clients, providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, and ensuring their satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, a strong attention to detail, and an understanding of business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding commercial insurance inquiries and requests.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations for commercial insurance policies accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with underwriters and risk management professionals to understand client business needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Assist clients with claims reporting and follow-up, ensuring a seamless claims experience.
- Educate clients on commercial insurance coverage options, policy features, and products to meet their specific business needs.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in our agency management system.
- Collaborate with internal team members and insurance carriers to resolve client issues and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about industry trends, commercial insurance regulations, and product updates to provide informed assistance to clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, insurance, or a related field preferred, with some experience in a business environment a plus.
- Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance agency management systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Understanding of basic business principles and risk management concepts is a plus.
